The 45-year-old actor was arrested early Friday in Bend, Ore., 128 miles east of Eugene, where he lives with his family. There was reportedly a passenger in his car at the time of his arrest.
Fox was released from jail later Friday.
The actor's arrest comes after he was detained by police last August for allegedly assaulting a female bus driver, when he tried to crash a private bachelor party on a bus in Cleveland.
He was not charged in the incident and has filed a lawsuit against the woman who accused him of assault, claiming that he lost work because her allegations subjected him to "public hatred, contempt, ridicule and shame."
